‘The company is headquartered in Whitley, Coventry in England and is today owned by Tata Motors’ subordinate division of Jaguar Land rover Automotive PLC.

The cars of this make go into the designing process at its Whitley plant and also the relevant Gaydon site; the manufacturing process on the other hand takes place in the Birmingham assembly plant.

Originating as the Swallow Sidecar Company in the year 1922, the company used to make sidecars for motorbikes before they forayed into the production of automobiles.

There was a name change of the company after the completion of the Second World war and the company subsequently came to be known as Jaguar.
